2026 Keynote Speaker

Susan Wise Bauer

We are thrilled to share that this yearโ€™s keynote speaker for the West Virginia Homeschool Connection 2026 event on ๐’๐š๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐š๐ฒ, ๐‰๐š๐ง๐ฎ๐š๐ซ๐ฒ ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ, will be Susan Wise Bauer, a historian, writer, and educator.

Susan taught for fifteen years at the College of William & Mary in Virginia and has authored numerous influential works, including The Great Shadow (St. Martinโ€™s Press), The Art of the Public Grovel (Princeton University Press), The Well-Trained Mind, The Well-Educated Mind, The Story of Western Science, the History of the World series (W. W. Norton), and the beloved Story of the World series (Well-Trained Mind Press).

Her contributions have shaped the way countless families and educators approach learning, and we look forward to welcoming her to this yearโ€™s event!
